Yellowknife RCMP probing city man’s sudden death earlier this month

Yellowknife RCMP are investigating a sudden death in the city earlier this month.

In a news release, Mounties state that a man from Yellowknife was found in medical distress early morning on June 2.

He was subsequently transported by Medevac to Edmonton where he died on June 3, police stated.

They have not publicly identified the man

RCMP say they are working with the NWT Coroner Service and the Alberta Medical Examiner’s Office in an investigation into this death.

They have not said whether the man’s death is considered suspicious.

Police add that no further information is available at this time.
