Still no sign of missing snowmobilers traveling from Dettah to Lutsel K’e

There is still no sign of three snowmobilers who have not been heard from since late Monday night.

RCMP say Sam Boucher, 65, Cammy Boucher, 23, and a man who hasn’t been identified, left Dettah on a single snowmobile towing two toboggans and were headed for Lutsel K’e.

Sam Boucher is reportedly Cammy’s father and they are believed to be from Lutsel K’e.

Mounties have restricted their search to the air because they say ice conditions are too risky to go out on foot.

The search area has been expanded from Yellowknife, to Fort Resolution and Lutsel K’e.

“We continue to advise, that at this time, RCMP have a coordinated search effort under way. We do not want community volunteers to put themselves at risk, despite their good intentions to assist,” states Staff Sergeant Yannick Hamel, Yellowknife RCMP Operations Manager.

Anyone with information on the group’s whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP.
